Beautiful Manholes
Drainspotting has photos of some really beautiful manhole covers. Japan's are exquisite, and there was a lovelyMaori design from Wellington. They certainly beat the not so beautiful Auckland manhole/utility covers I have seen. For example:

Anyway, I am glad to have found other people who like taking photos of the ground.
