Bright Copper Kettles

I notice that frogblog has another post about transport. This time about the evil emissions from the bad cars and how we need to fix this to do "our bit to combat climate change." Or something like that.

I'm sure I will do a proper post on this later (combating climate change?!). But first a personal comment on the alternatives to driving.

I think the alternatives to driving are crap. I live about 30 minutes walk/bus away from work, yet if I had a car I would drive to work everyday for the following reasons:

1. I would save time.
2. I could wear totally impractical shoes and clothes instead of having to take a half hour walk into consideration when getting dressed every morning.
3. I wouldn't turn up at work sweaty from walking.
4. I wouldn't turn up at work sweaty from walking and drenched from the unexpected rain.
5. I wouldn't turn up at work with parts of me extra sweaty from walking in a raincoat and the other parts of me drenched from the expected rain.
6. I wouldn't have to take a bus, which I don't like.
7. I wouldn't have to get up extra early to take a bus , which I don't like, in order to avoid taking a bus full of sick wet people, which I detest.
