question of the day

What matters more: what is true? or what you believe?

Comments:
On a tangentially related note, I read this quote today and copied it down:

"Imagination is more important than knowledge. For knowledge is limited to all we now know and understand, while imagination embraces the entire world, and all there ever will be to know and understand." - Albert Einstein

Einstein rocks! Although, maybe I think that cause I agree with him ;)

The other day a friend said something like "with all our scientific progress there will be less and less unknown stuff" and I said something like "Huh?! isn't it the other way around? That the more we learn, the more unknown stuff and unanswered questions there are and the more fascinating, magical and mysterious the universe seems."

Precisely. Remember when we all thought the earth was flat, there was nothing beyond the horizon, and everything you needed to know was in the bible? We seem to have more questions now than they ever did!

Besides, mankind has yet to answer many of life's big questions - like "What do women want?"

Some things you don't question. You just act.

Truth. Always. No matter how unpalatable. Otherwise you end up just lying to yourself.

PS. Welcome back to the world of the blog, Suze!

What women want? Hmmm. If you are going to go for "all women" then what they want is going to be the same thing as what "all men" want.

I haven't decided on my answer to the question. What I believe has the most influence over my life and therefore tends to change what is true at that level. But what is true is true regardless. Hmmm...
