Monday 9am TV

Films/books that make me think are really the only films/books that I like. This is the main reason that I like speculative fiction (eg SF/Fantasy).

Here is a place with short films that might make me think. Inspirational. Thought-provoking. Beautiful.

(via the synchronicity of life)

I'm so with you on only liking entertainment that engages my mind. I don't think I've watched a sitcom in years. I'm annoyed with myself whenever I rent a "stupid" DVD.

SF / Fantasy used to be my favorite genre, but I tired of it in recent years. Currently, I'm more into historical novels, but the ones that I like tend to be pretty philosophical. The Name of the Rose by Umberto Eco, for example, or more recently, An Instance of the Fingerpost by Iain Pears.
