Hotel Rwanda

I have just seen Hotel Rwanda.

Wow.

I don't know what to say. I am speechless. This movie actually changed me.

I'm not sure if I am blown away because it was a brilliant movie or because I am shocked at myself. I guess it doesn't matter.

I am shocked that I knew almost nothing of the Rwandan genocide and that the world just let it happen. But more importantly I am starting to wonder what other unacceptable things are happening while I am conveniently ignoring the world and making up silly little problems.

AL, you are right.

Hello Suze.

I don't know. It is much easier to stay asleep.

How do people manage? I am already falling behind in technology, thesis and my social and creative lives. I don't really have time to keep up to date with current affairs and politics as well.

It is the dark of the moon. I will ask the tarot for advice.

David,

It seems that the world is schizophrenic. It is not just me :-)

I was/am having trouble reconciling everything. For example being fun-loving and carefree and at the same time being aware and doing something about all the atrocities.

Did an interesting tarot reading last night that basically hit the nail on the head. It said htat the issue is integration.

Manda,

Cheap Tuesdays at the Rialto (which is temporarily at Village on Broadway).

It is not due for dvd release until August. But I see movieshack has it on order. So you can add it to your queue :-)

It was a very good big screen movie though.

Yes AL. About certain things. Not about everything ;)

AL: not a pun exactly but correct=85%; right-side=15%

Cut the tall MFAT. I have a post that may be pertanent. NZ was chairing the Security Council in April '94 when it occured and did nothing.
